The garageAbout Atomic Van

Atomic Van is led by its founders, Jacob Coby and Jason Chance. We've been best friends since the sixth grade, and we've built and run SaaS apps together for over 20 years.

Development lead

Jacob leads development on our products and our client work. He's the reason every project ships with tests and documentation.

Operations and customer experience

Jason runs the business side of Atomic Van and looks after the people who use our products. If you email us, there's a good chance he's the one who writes back.

We've worked on ecommerce platforms, content delivery networks, and regional real estate sites. Every one of them taught us the same thing: shipping a product is the easy part. Keeping it fast, secure, and supported for years is the real job.

So we run two products, Pingstack and Slidebit, and we look after them properly. We also build software for clients, with the same standards we hold our own code to.

We lead every project ourselves, with a team of staff and trusted contractors behind us. You always talk to someone who knows how the thing works, and there are enough hands to build something big.

  1. Solve a real problem

Every tool we make should fix something people deal with every week.

  2. Pick good defaults

Most people shouldn't need a settings page to get a tool working.

  3. Get better with age

Software should get more solid over the years, without changing just to look busy.

  4. Keep costs predictable

For us and for our customers. No surprise bills, no growth at any cost.
